Livepeer was founded in 2017 by Doug Petkanics (CTO) and Eric Tang (CEO). The duo aimed to build a scalable, secure, and cost-effective alternative to centralised broadcasting services. Livepeer’s end goal is to serve as the infrastructure service layer for decentralised streaming. & AI, making video streaming more reliable and affordable, & AI more accessible.
